A thematic map is a map that show's you a map with a particular theme like, income, life expectancy, population, forestry, melting ice, tourism or temperatures. These maps don't show the well known Topografic maps, but only use the basic information of the mentioned area, added with the specific themes. Thematic maps are often adapted and tailored to the knowledge of the viewer.
